Four Poems on Julius Caesar I II III IV Oh, yes You are clever You were just Waiting for me To cry out To the dust And what’s left Of your ashes To call out your name And keep you alive Can you really be gone If you’re not forgotten? Can you really be dead If we keep you alive? Can’t wipe out Your memory And I shouldn’t want to All that I’m asking Is for clarification Some sort of insight As to what You were thinking And what you had Hidden And I’m starting to see Why it is that I can Not condemn you Nor put you away On a shelf With the dusty Volumes of your age ~Copyright Robin J.
